Individual lessons are 30 minutes weekly. Hour-long lessons and/or multiple lessons throughout the week can be scheduled if preferred.Â
Students are required to notify at least 24-hours in advance if cancelling the lesson, otherwise they are still charged. Rescheduling throughout the week is also an option, and when students are responsible and notify of a cancellation soon, it is easier to rearrange for make-up lessons. Â
Lessons are paid monthly in advance at the beginning of the month. Â

Yes. Players often contact Dave to go over specific questions or needs. This can be for things like prepping for an audition, tackling a specific topic, overcoming a writing/arranging/songwriting or performance hurdle, or just to learn something unique. Scheduling a one-time lesson, or short-term series of lessons is an option when regular students are properly cancelling and rescheduling their weekly lessons. We cover digital audio workstation (DAW) recording concepts and techniques. This includes MIDI recording and editing, using sound plug-ins, audio editing and mixing. We also discuss microphone placement, live instrument and vocal recording, as well as real-life recording studio scenarios. Recording concepts can be applied no matter what DAW platform you work on.
Lessons are one-on-one generally. Oftentimes students will schedule back-to-back lessons of an hour and learn together, but lessons are still per student, per half-hour.
